300 Workout

Mark Twight is the father of the great and powerful 300 Workout, which is based on the movie ‘300’. In order to get in shape for this very physically demanding movie, people had to work out very seriously and commit to getting fit in a very short amount of time. This resulted in what is known as the 300 test, consisting of the following: 25 pull ups, 50 135-pound dead lifts, 50 pushups, 50 24-inch box jumps, 50 135-pound floor wipers, 50 36-pound clean and press reps, and 25 pull ups to finish it off. That equals 300 repetitions, and is the culmination of one of the most physically demanding workouts that you will ever experience.

The 300 workout itself consists of high-intensity training, heavy weight lifting, circuit training and between 90 and 120 minutes of training every single day, in addition to filming and rehearsing. Most people on set trained for a mere 8 to 12 weeks and wound up with amazing results thanks to the workout.

Mark Twight is not certified as a trainer for conventional organizations, but the workout certainly seems to work. Training with medicine balls and Kettlebells left actors to rise to the challenge of the test after only a couple of months of training, which is quite intense.

The 300 workout focuses on physical and mental fitness, so that people are able to be at the top of their game. When it comes time for the test, there is no rest between the different exercises, so people need to be as prepared mentally as they are physically for this enduring and tiring experience.

Depending on where you’re at physically, you will start off with one particular type of exercise or another. As your strength increases and your physical needs change, you can move on to different activities and exercises that require more strength, stamina, or skill.

If you are going to try the 300 workout, you need to enlist the help of a personal trainer to ensure that you’re doing things exactly the way that you’re supposed to be doing them so that you don’t hurt yourself. This is a serious, hardcore, intense workout and is not for the faint of heart. Take the time to check out the different elements of this workout before you choose it as your own, because while it might seem like an impressive challenge, it could quickly turn out to be a nightmare if you’re not properly prepared.
