Kirstie Alley Weight Gain
Many years ago, Kirstie Alley was the spokesperson for Jenny Craig. She lost 75 pounds on the plan and promoted it to everyone that she could convince to try it. Through TV ads and magazine campaigns, Kirstie made a great business for Jenny Craig before leaving the spotlight for good.
In 2006, she showed up on the Oprah show, 85 pounds heavier than when she was on the Jenny Craig plan, which is all the weight she lost plus 10 pounds. Kirstie Alley weight gain made a big issue with the public and the paparazzi at the time, but actually helped people on the Jenny Craig program understand how important sticking to the diet is.
Once Kirstie stopped being weighed in on a weekly basis, she began to lose accountability for her weight. She went back to eating Chinese food and chocolate, two of her favorite things and quit watching her weight because she figured she could afford to slack a little. Then, she turned her workout room into a dining room, and put all the exercise equipment (thousands of dollars worth) in the garage to collect dust). It didn’t help that the entire time she was in the spotlight and being the product of public humiliation and ridicule. However, she has now decided that she doesn’t want to live like this, and has readopted a diet, but not Jenny Craig.
Kirstie Alley instead developed her own weight loss strategy that has helped her to lose plenty of weight. In the first five weeks, she lost 20 pounds, and she is developing her own diet business as we speak. She is going to launch her program sometime this year, and has a goal to get ripped by February, commenting that she will have Michelle Obama’s toned arms, legs, and butt.
Kirstie Alley is the one who brought Valerie Bertinelli to the Jenny Craig program, who has become the newest and most popular spokesperson for Jenny Craig since then. However, Kirstie is motivated and inspired by her friend, not jealous.
The Kirstie Alley weight gain was the topic of discussion for a long time, but now many people are just trying to figure out what her new weight loss program is about. Regardless of what happens with Kirstie, this is a great example for people who are embarking on new diet plans that you have to stick to your goals, no matter what those might be. One slip will turn into two and a little slack can easily turn into a lot. In no time, you’re back where you started and not too satisfied with yourself.
