Blood Type Diet

Since the early 1980s, the blood type diet has been in the planning stages. Peter D’Adamo has been testing individual foods for blood type reactivity and recording the results to create interventions for all of his different clients. He has even trained more than 200 practitioners and professionals in his methods, and wrote a book in 1997 simply titled ‘Eat Right 4 Your Type’. This book is the basis for this diet, which costs less than $30 to invest in. If you prefer to visit the doctor himself then that will cost you $450 for the one-hour consult and $150 for the follow-up office call. The plan has gained a lot of public attention since the book was released.

The blood type diet basically demonstrates and showcases how different blood types respond differently to different types of food. According to the book, type O people are hunter-like and need to eat meat because of their genes, while type A people are vegetarian-like and type B’s are simply omnivores with a craving for dairy products. Some health professionals find many issues with this diet, because the critics say that it isn’t based on fact and has many inconsistencies. However, this diet does hold some merit for some people.

The overall point of the blood type diet is to prove that while you might not realize it, there are certain foods that your blood can handle better during digestion and absorption than others. Without the right foods, you can face more health problems in your life than someone who is eating the right foods for their blood type. The book shows you what foods are best, including spices, teas, and condiments, what vitamins you need most, which medications work best, how to determine which exercise is best, and how you can fight disease and infection simply by knowing your blood type.

There is also a website that has been developed to compliment and support his book, and it offers a lot of insight and education as well. It talks about his history, the history of the blood type diet, and how to get started on the program. There are recipes, food values, calculators, a medical dictionary, and even practitioners that you can talk to over the internet. There are personality tools, assessment tests, and much more on the website to help you get in tune with your body and make the diet work for you. The success of the program has not been factually proven, but many people do see results, while some don’t.
