When it comes to weight loss, the majority of people complain about how they can’t lose belly fat, which is one of the most stubborn types of weight to lose. Sit ups and crunches might seem effective, but all they really do is tone your abs, which might already be in great tone underneath all that flab.

Besides the look of their body most people want to get rid of the fat for medical reasons. Those who hold fat around their abdomen tend to have a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancers as well as having many other medical issues. Of course, this is much more critical than looking good in a bathing suit. More than how you actually look, it is important to your health as well to lose that fat.

When it comes to how to lose belly fat, you basically need to do three things. First, you should be eating a healthy diet that consists of food that is good for you in proper portions. Portion control is easily one of the biggest problems that people have when it comes to weight loss.

Next, you also need to make sure that you are exercising the right way. Longer duration, moderate activity exercises are much better to burn fat and calories than quick, high-intensity workouts. You need to make sure that you take the time to find a workout routine that works for you.
