Wii Fit

Wii Fit is a great new game or more like an exercise routine that has been developed for the Nintendo Wii. The term ‘game’ is used loosely, of course, because this is more of a fitness program than a game. There are no winners or losers with this game, and the only goal is to get fit and stay in shape.

The game comes with the balance board, which is where you do all of your movements. When you move on the board, it is reflected in the screen, allowing you to enjoy Yoga or snowboarding without ever leaving your house. For the couch-oriented dieters in all of us, this game offers a fun way to get up, get moving, and get fit right from home.

There are more than 40 activities that you can enjoy on the Wii Fit game, including aerobics, yoga, strength training, and more. You can create a personal profile, track your results, and even challenge your friends and family to see who is in better shape. When you create your profile, you’ll choose a Mii character, enter your height and age details, and then do some testing before you get started. The tests include a BMI check, which measures your body fat based on your height and weight. The measures are standardized and used by the WHO and the NIH to determine how overweight or obese people are.

This is pretty cool for those that like their video games and want to exercise. And even if you aren’t into games, the Wii Fit and Wii Game Console is cheaper than paying for a gym membership every month. Come back tomorrow and learn more about how you can get in shape with this great game / video fitness program.
