Everyone knows how much Kirstie Alley has struggled with her weight loss issues over the years. She has yoyoed (is that even a word?) up and down for quite some time, has been on the Oprah Winfrey show, has been the spokesperson for Jenny Craig until she couldn’t maintain her weight and on and on.

She has gained weight and ended up on the Oprah show at a whopping 85 pounds heavier than she was while representing Jenny Craig. And all the while she was that spokesperson she made fun of herself and her weight loss struggles. Now as Kirstie announced on Twitter, she will bring those struggles to television again and star in a reality based TV show that will be featured on the A&E network starting some time next year.

The show will be about Kirstie Alley weight loss and raising kids as a single mom and dealing with her weight issues as she starts up a new weight loss program. With her easy ability to poke fun at herself and her great sense of humor, the show promises to be a riot and will hopefully get lots of viewers.

Kirstie Alley was most famously known for a staring role on the comedy series Cheers back in the 1980’s to early 1990’s. Since then she has been in the 2005 movie Fat Actress about what else, a fat actress trying to make it in Hollywood and she has been the spokesperson for Jenny Craig after getting up to a weight of 200 pounds, losing that weight and then gaining it all back and then some.

Kirstie claims that her new reality show will be unlike any reality show ever seen. With her genuine likability and great sense of humor, we’re sure it will be a fun show to watch.
