Maker’s Diet: Does The Maker’s Diet Help You Get Healthy?

The Maker’s Diet, also known as the Garden of Life diet, is a program that offers food and supplements that will help people lose weight and get healthy. As the name suggests, it is based on biblical references, and focuses on physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional health like most religious diets do. This diet was created by Jordan Rubin, a man who had many health problems, including Crohns disease. He actually was able to get healthy again and reverse all the symptoms with a whole foods diet and, he says, his faith in God that gave him a healthy spiritual and emotional life.

The Maker’s Diet is based on ancient Jewish diet regulations, including avoiding pork and bacon, as well as fish without fins or scales. Food that is pure and natural is what you are to eat. Plus, there is a list of supplements that are ‘required’ that is considerably long. This program is 40 days long and is a holistic approach to weight loss and healthy eating, as well as many other aspects of life.

With this diet you will eliminate processed food consumption in phase one, increase water intake, and rest as much as you need. The diet suggests that you don’t have to be perfect. You can stray away for a meal, but you can always come back. Just avoid situations where you might face failure and you’ll be fine.

When To Eat On The Maker’s Diet

The Maker’s Diet tells you not to eat when you’re scared, angry, anxious, or otherwise emotionally vulnerable. You should make sure that you’re getting enough sunlight and that you are careful about everything that you do. Although there is no real scientific basis for some of the diet’s claims, it can have some benefits simply because you are eating real, unprocessed foods. When it comes to the supplements, you need to be very careful. In 2004, the company was ordered to stop making claims that were unsubstantiated, and the author’s credentials have been brought into question.

Regardless of all of this, the Maker’s Diet does get plenty of positive recognition and feedback from successful people who have enjoyed the diet and found what they needed from it. Anytime that you’re talking about any diet plan, the success rate will depend on the individuals and how well they adhere to the set of rules within the plan. Not everyone will find the same plan to work for them, and some people might actually have a bad experience. This diet is at least good for the raw, natural food suggestions if nothing else.

Well we all know that eating a healthy meal will do us all good, but I believe there’s no reason for dragging religion and faith in this all, what on earth is so unhealthy about pigs, and what on earth is the difference between fish with scales and fish without! I don’t get it, these people peach that you should not eat when you’re not vulnerable but then they themselves are specifically targeting their marketing towards vulnerable people.

If you want to loose weight it’s simple, eat healthy food, drink lots of water, do plenty of exercise and that’s it… and yes if you feel like eating a bit of bacon eat it.

Bacon is about the worst food you can eat. It is full of fat, preservatives, nitrites, hormones and antibiotics. It’s not something I want to put in my body. Maybe there’s something to the old Jewish dietary laws?
