Joel Fuhrman, M.D. authored the book Eat To Live, which includes a proven plan for shedding a lot of weight really fast and keeping it off. The biggest part of the program is about finding density of nutrients and calories rather than just counting them. Broccoli, for example, has fewer calories in a pound than a pound of spaghetti would. Health= nutrients/calories is the basic formula for this program, and basically states that when you have more nutrients, you have lower calories, and fat melts away much easier than it might have otherwise.

Eat to Live talks about eating food that is dense with nutrients rather than focusing on foods that are dense with calories. That way, you can enjoy a low-calorie meal that is still satisfying because you can eat as much as you want in most cases. Losing this weight will help you to stay full longer, crave less junk food, and even help with diabetes and heart disease by putting your body back on a healthy track.

The plan lasts for six weeks, but the creator promises that you’ll lose 30 pounds in 3 months without ever being hungry. Considering that over-processed and unhealthy foods are what cause Americans to have the second-highest cancer and heart disease rates, eating better can really save your life.

Eat to Live is designed to make your overall life better, give you more time to enjoy life, and teach you a new way of living where you only eat what you need to live, instead of living from one meal to the next like many people do. The book offers tips and information about healthy eating that people are sure to love, and Dr. Fuhrman even claims that you won’t have to worry about heart attacks, blood pressure, or sugar problems after you’ve started eating this diet because of how absolutely healthy it is for your body. For those who have medical conditions due to their weight, this can be a dream come true. However, some people might not see success in this area, because their disease is unrelated to their weight, but much of what we put into our bodies does in fact either help us or hurt us in relation to our health.

Eat to Live suggests that it will open your eyes to a new way of thinking and better understand food and how your body works. You will find this book among the hundreds of other diet books and programs out there, but this one focuses on the right stuff. It’s not about convenient pre-fab meal plans and it’s not about just losing weight right now. It’s about you, and losing weight for life with this program.
