A few slices of avocado significantly increases the nutritional value of any meal, from scrambled eggs at breakfast, to salads and sandwiches. As a superfood, it also kicks up your metabolism, making it one of the most readily available top fat burning foods.</p>

It is not the carbs in the juice that make you gain weight, but the high percentage of sugar. To process a whole fruit, leaving just the juice, removes most of the nutrients including the fiber. The result is a short-lived sugar rush that gives you energy, but without the fiber that would sustain it.</p>
<p>There is also a crash of blood sugar levels once the juice is digested. This leaves you hungry and craving more carbs. Whole fruits are entirely different from fruit juice. Whole fruits are more satisfying and provide your body with the nutrients it needs to sustain itself. Sugar levels are low and the fiber allows you to digest it slowly. This results in fewer calories being consumed. You don’t need weight loss supplements or gimmicks and gadgets to have fab abs. Cutting foods that make you fat, like wheat and fruit juice products, from your every day diet can help you feel better, reduce common health issues and allow you to lose weight faster.</p>
<p>If you are going to drink fruit juices, then at least get your juice from a real fruits that you juice yourself. You can use a conventional squeeze juicer that you use by hand or that you use as an attachment to a food processor. Anti-oxidants, phytonutrients, and superfoods fill the screens, their benefits touted with scientific research to back them up. As a result, it may surprise you to find that some of the foods that make you fat have actually been deemed healthy. We have been hearing for years that trans fats and high fructose corn syrup should be avoided,and they should however, you may be shocked to find that wheat products and canned or bottled fruit juice are not the “good-for-you” foods we have been led to believe.</p>
<p>Wheat products include most bagels, breads, cereals and pasta, just to name a few. They usually contain gluten. This is a unique type of protein found in barley, rye and wheat.  A significant percentage of people have some degree of intolerance for this type of protein. It has only been the last 80-100 years that wheat products have been a dietary staple. Before that time, our digestive system was used to a steady diet of a very limited amount of meats, vegetables, fruits and nuts. Some people who remove wheat from their diets for a few weeks lose weight faster and feel better than they have in years.</p>
<p>And canned juices, even if they state they are 100% real juice, are not really what they purport to be. Many of these juices have been processed, heated and manipulated so they no longer contain the nutrition that the real or original fruit does. Plus when you add the preservatives and so called &#8220;natural flavorings&#8221; which are really a code word for added MSG, then your healthy canned or bottled juice is really just a concoction that doesn&#8217;t do all that much for you besides add extra calories to your diet.</p>

It stated that carbs were bad and caused weight gain. This meant that most fruits and vegetables were declared off limits in addition to bread and cereal. That diet was replaced with others touting the health benefits of those same fruits and vegetables. This cycling of diets and health reports left many people wondering if their favorite foods were good carbs or bad carbs and should they cut them out entirely, or increase the amount in their diets.</p>
<p>To begin, most people overindulge in carbohydrates that have been refined wheat products. They cause a large swing in blood sugar levels that stimulates your body to store fat as opposed to using it for the energy you need to get through the day. Although many people may recognize these types of carbs as bagels, pasta, and bread, they also include candy bars, soda and fruit juice. The nutrients have been processed out, leaving the sugar and preservatives, creating a spike in insulin. This is a primary contributing factor to type 2 diabetes in many people.</p>
<p>If you are among the millions of people trying to lose weight, there are a few guidelines to keep in mind. Reduce the percentage of grain-based food in your daily diet. This includes crackers and rice in addition to pastas and cereals. Replace them with good carbs found in fruits and vegetables. Sweet potatoes and berries are good examples of foods that are low in fat and provide you with the fiber you need to stay satisfied between meals. Removing the bad or simple carbs and increasing complex or good carbs in addition to a consistent workout schedule will help you shed the unwanted extra pounds.</p>

<p>There are some foods that have been defined as superfoods. The term refers to foods rich in phytonutrients. It does not have to be expensive and we will explore some of the many ways you can still eat healthy and do it in an inexpensive manner in this article.</p>
<p><strong>There are a couple of ways to look at the expense of food</strong>. Healthy food can seem to be more expensive than regular food when you are buying lots of produce and buying some organic foods as well. The bottom line is that when you eat healthier, in general you will be healthier and it will also help your lifestyle in the long run. When you get up into old age or maybe even while you are young, giving your body the right nutrition will help you stay healthier much later in life and you may avoid the exceptionally high cost of medical bills that seem to hit many people as they age. Yes, you may spend more on food at this stage of the game, but later in life you may possibly save thousands on medical bills because you took care of yourself when it counted.</p>

It was officially launched in 1984, and can be found all over the world today. The diet is rather simple, and is a very low calorie diet, often referred to as a VLCD. It consists of pre-packaged food products and can be found in shakes or soups (powdered), bars, and ‘brix’.</p>
<p>Some of the plans call for as few as 415-500 calories a day, which is less than half of the recommended amount without doctor supervision. After time passes, the calories go up, but never surpass 1,000 calories per day. <strong>This is a very low and can be considered even dangerous caloric intake. <span style="color: #ff0000;">A diet such as this should not be undertaken except under strict supervision by a licensed health care practitioner.</span></strong></p>
<p>Water is critical to the diet, because if you’re going to be depriving your body of so many calories, you at least need to keep it hydrated so that you don’t have problems with dehydration. The Cambridge Diet and all research on it explicitly states that it shouldn’t be done without the help and guidance of a licensed doctor or medical practitioner and that people in the UK can only do the diet through accredited parties if their BMI is over 25. These can be very good diets for people of all ages and sizes, but they MUST be medically monitored so that people don’t injure themselves.</p>
<p>During the time that people are on the Cambridge Diet, exercise isn’t an issue unless it is low intensity, because the body simply doesn’t have enough fuel to work out. Plus, fiber supplements might be required to keep people regular and eliminate the risk of constipation. You must be very careful with this diet. <strong>While it is effective, it can also be very dangerous</strong>, which is why you need to proceed with caution, and only with the approval of your doctor.</p>
<p><strong>The Cambridge Diet is not readily available to the public</strong>. It is only sold through distributors, and the US version of the program provides slightly different food products than the ones sold in the UK, but everyone still needs to seek medical supervision and be careful on this diet. It’s not like a typical meal delivery diet that allows you to eat less and lose weight with their convenient products. With less than half of the calories that your body needs to run on a daily basis being consumed, you’re sure to lose weight, but who knows what else you might lose if you aren’t careful with a diet as intense as this one?</p>
