Not only are they completely whacked out when it comes to political news, and totally at a loss when dealing with financial news and information, they also almost always get it wrong when it comes to health news. A case in point is the somewhat recent craze when it comes to <a href="http://www.ezweightlossdietplans.com/go-to/canola-oil"><strong>canola oil being heart healthy</strong></a>. Don&#8217;t believe the lies, canola oil is bad for you and bad for your heart.</p>
<p>Canola oil comes from a genetically engineered plant called the rapeseed plant. While the rapeseed plant in itself is a naturally occurring plant, it is poisonous and all the plants that are used to produce canola oil have to be genetically engineered to lower the amount of harmful toxins in them. The marketing deception around canola oil is huge and there are even very well know medical websites that promote the so-called heart healthy benefits of this oil. Much of what appears in the mainstream media is usually pushed by some industry that will benefit from favorable reports regarding their products. Canola oil is no different. It is promoted by the food industry. In fact, the name canola oil is a completely made up word that is just about as engineered as is the oil. The name comes from the term Canadian oil low acid. So much for originality.</p>
<p>Canola oil is a junk oil because it is also highly refined. Because of the genetically engineered nature of the rapeseed plant canola oil must be highly refined by heating, using chemicals, solvents, petroleum and other caustic products. So much for a good and healthy oil.</p>
<p>Another reason canola oil is not healthy is because it is an unstable oil because of the way it is produced. It breaks down when heated and becomes a saturated oil instead of a polyunsaturated or an unsaturated oil and that is where it then becomes the kind of fat in your body that is bad for your heart. Oils like cold pressed virgin olive oil are not as susceptible to breaking down when heated because they are no highly refined. One more final lie of the canola oil industry is that in some cases this oil can already contain trans fats way above the amount claimed by the industry. Researchers in major universities have found canola oil containing trans fats to be many times what the Canadian government has claimed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In our effort to be healthier and lose body fat, many of us have started grabbing meal replacement shakes or nutrition bars to help us stay away from the vending machine and drive thru windows at the local fast food restaurant. However, have you ever read the ingredients of those so-called <strong><a title="Healthy Energy Bars" href="http://www.ezweightlossdietplans.com/2010/05/healthy-energy-bar-how-healthy-is-your-favorite-energy-bar/">healthy energy bars</a></strong>? Many health and protein bars are actually more like candy bars than a healthy snack.</p>
<p>You can’t read the front of the package to tell the difference in these bars because they want you to think they are actually good for you, you’ll need to read the list of ingredients on the label. Skip the beautiful natural looking farms and natural looking ingredients on the front of the label and read the back to see what kind of junk these food manufacturers are really putting in them. Once you know what to look for, you’ll see that most of them are not even remotely nutritious or even good for you.</p>
<p>In addition to containing a lot of sugar and artificial sweeteners and probably some kind of chemical preservative, they don’t taste good and often have an unpleasant after-taste. Ingredients are listed from highest to lowest content. If the first ingredients include corn syrup, sugar, or hydrogenated oils and end with artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners, they are no better for you than the candy bars in the machines or down the candy aisle in the grocery store. The more processed the ingredients are, the fewer health benefits they contain. Simple is best.</p>

Probably not, but Geneen Roth and her New York Times bestselling book, <a title="Women Food And God" href="http://www.ezweightlossdietplans.com/2010/05/women-food-and-god-on-oprah/"><strong>Women Food And God</strong></a> were featured on the Oprah Show today and she had some amazing insights to why women can&#8217;t lose weight and how they relate to food.</p>
<p>Every person on the Oprah show had read the book, (I guess that was a requirement to get tickets for this particular episode) so Geneen was preaching to the choir sort of, but those that end up losing weight as a result of reading the book and owning the insights in it will look back on this time on Oprah and reading the book as a big turning point in their lives.</p>
<p>Geneen says that once you get your relationship with food right, everything else will fall into place. That&#8217;s sounds like good advice because many women, and men as well, eat for many different reasons. Some of those reasons may be to eat just to satisfy your cravings, or to give yourself a boost because you are feeling down for various reasons, or because you may have other things in your life that you are covering up for.</p>
<p>For whatever reason you eat and if that eating is causing you to be overweight, the answer according to Geneen Roth is to just let go of the struggle as she did several years ago. If you forget about the struggle and eat with a healthy attitude, then weight loss will never be a problem because you aren&#8217;t using food for anything else other than to give your body the nutrition it needs.</p>
<p>The book, <strong>Women Food And God</strong> took up the entire hour of the Oprah Winfrey show on Wednesday and offered many tips for women to figure out why you may be eating the way you do.</p>
<p>Once you get the food thing right, the rest of your life will fall into line. Now, this isn&#8217;t magic because getting in touch with yourself and figuring out why you do what you do when it comes to food may be a difficult thing to go through as seen by some of the video testimonies shown on the Oprah Show. Watching some of those videos on Oprah was painful because you could just see what the women featured were going through</p>
<p>Many women and even men, eat to cover up things in their past so food is used as a drug according to Geneen, instead of using it to feed your body with nutritional fuel as I like to call it.</p>

It is not the carbs in the juice that make you gain weight, but the high percentage of sugar. To process a whole fruit, leaving just the juice, removes most of the nutrients including the fiber. The result is a short-lived sugar rush that gives you energy, but without the fiber that would sustain it.</p>
<p>There is also a crash of blood sugar levels once the juice is digested. This leaves you hungry and craving more carbs. Whole fruits are entirely different from fruit juice. You can use a conventional squeeze juicer that you use by hand or that you use as an attachment to a food processor. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lately, you can’t surf the web or turn on the television and look for information on weight loss and <a title="Foods That Make You Fat" href="http://www.ezweightlossdietplans.com/2010/05/foods-that-make-you-fat/">foods that make you fat</a> without hearing about the latest health news breakthroughs. Anti-oxidants, phytonutrients, and superfoods fill the screens, their benefits touted with scientific research to back them up. As a result, it may surprise you to find that some of the foods that make you fat have actually been deemed healthy. We have been hearing for years that trans fats and high fructose corn syrup should be avoided,and they should however, you may be shocked to find that wheat products and canned or bottled fruit juice are not the “good-for-you” foods we have been led to believe.</p>
<p>Wheat products include most bagels, breads, cereals and pasta, just to name a few. They usually contain gluten. This is a unique type of protein found in barley, rye and wheat.  A significant percentage of people have some degree of intolerance for this type of protein. It has only been the last 80-100 years that wheat products have been a dietary staple. Before that time, our digestive system was used to a steady diet of a very limited amount of meats, vegetables, fruits and nuts. Some people who remove wheat from their diets for a few weeks lose weight faster and feel better than they have in years.</p>
<p>And canned juices, even if they state they are 100% real juice, are not really what they purport to be. Many of these juices have been processed, heated and manipulated so they no longer contain the nutrition that the real or original fruit does. Plus when you add the preservatives and so called &#8220;natural flavorings&#8221; which are really a code word for added MSG, then your healthy canned or bottled juice is really just a concoction that doesn&#8217;t do all that much for you besides add extra calories to your diet.</p>

You won’t find yourself with some of the ingredients and faced with the decision to go to the supermarket for the rest or make a different recipe. Most people prefer not to make several trips to the supermarket when one will do. This usually means making a long list of items to buy. With meal planning, the list is smaller, so you are less likely to forget to buy an item you need and you will be spending less time in the checkout line.</p>
<p>One of the main advantages of diet meal plan is that people with busy lives may not have the time and can&#8217;t focus on nutrition and learning how to eat right. <p>These meals can be expensive and may not be suited for your particular nutritional needs, so make sure you know what you are getting by doing your research before you commit to a prepared diet meal plan for the long term. If you want to lose weight you may have to get a more specialized meal plan instead of just what&#8217;s readily available for those that are only looking for convenience. Of course, you also want to have a plan once you lose the weight you need to and decide to go off your pre-prepared diet meal plan. You may not be able to afford to have someone make all your meals for you over the long run, so make sure you have that thought out even before you get started.</p>
